At this point in the school year, I obviously knew that my roommate was a snorer. However, I had not yet experienced the level of loud snoring she could apparently achieve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Why do we snore?\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NNStU5h2fZA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>My roommate had gone to sleep a bit earlier than me in the night due to her cold. The snoring started off low and steady, the usual background noise I\u2019ve grown used to. But around midnight, it took a turn. There was a brief pause, and I thought I could finally doze off to sleep in peace. Suddenly, the loudest noise ever echoed throughout our small dorm room. It just got <em>louder<\/em> and <em>louder<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I tried everything, covering my face with my pillow, blasting music in my airpods, sedating myself with a benadryl, but nothing helped. I was instead left to stare at the ceiling and listen to what I could only describe as honking noises. I got up bright and early, since I did not sleep the night before. My rustling eventually woke my roommate up. I told her, \u201cSorry, I did not really sleep, you were snoring pretty loud last night.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She blinked. \u201cReally?
