Design Assignment #3: Roadkill: An Upcoming Blockbuster

Imagine this: You’re driving down a quiet back road at night. No GPS signal. The woods whispering on either side. And then… you see her in your rearview mirror. Eyes glowing. Face pale. She’s not supposed to be there.

Welcome to my concept movie “Roadkill” — a nightmarish ride you didn’t ask to take, but one you won’t forget.

Roadkill is the latest psychological horror from McCarthy Productions, directed by Shay Byrum and lensed by visionary cinematographer Robbie Ryan. This spine-tingling tale blends slow-burn dread with shocking surrealism, echoing the styles of Jordan Peele and Luca Guadagnino, who also serve as executive producers.

The cast? Stacked.

Emma Stone plays Evelyn, a cynical travel nurse on a cross-country assignment.

Cillian Murphy is Miles, a hitchhiker with secrets and too many questions.

Mia Goth and Kay McCarthy are a crew that seems normal… until the road reveals otherwise.

The twist? The “roadkill” isn’t an animal. It’s a person. Or at least… it used to be.

This is horror that haunts slowly, like a long, winding drive through the dark where your headlights never quite reach far enough.

I didn’t make a trailer, but if I were to, I imagine it would look something like this:

If you’re a fan of atmospheric horror and stories that make you question your own reflection, buckle up. This film swerves hard, and you won’t see what’s coming around the bend.

Only in theaters October 31. Don’t look back.
